JF Community Centre is a grassroots initiative of JF Charity, based in Dikenafai, Imo State, Nigeria. We are dedicated to empowering underserved children and youth by providing access to computer literacy and skills vocational training. Through a safe, inclusive, and community rooted environment, we equip young people with the tools they need to grow, create, and thrive.

OUR STORY
The story of JF Community Centre began in 2013, sparked by compassion and a simple act of service.
While studying in Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, our founder Jeffery Ikeaka was deeply moved by the devastation caused by typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines in November 2013. At the time, he was serving as President of the Nigerian Student Association of Carleton University. Driven by empathy and leadership, he and his team organized a campus fundraiser that raised $1,000, which was donated through the Canadian Red Cross to support those affected.
That experience ignited something deeper: a realization that if he could help strangers across the world, he could and must do something for his own community back home in Nigeria.
In 2015, with a land donated by his father in Dikenafai, Imo State, Jeffery launched a grassroots movement to build a hub that would empower young people. What began as a vision for a shelter house soon evolved into something even greater- a community centre of learning, growth, and opportunity.
That same year, he led a fundraiser to begin construction. The foundation was laid, not just in cement and bricks, but in purpose.
Today, JF Community Centre is growing as a hub dedicated to equipping underserved children and youth with skills for the future. Through programs in computer literacy, vocational training, and community engagement, the Centre is helping to shape a new generation of confident, skilled, and purpose filled youth starting from one small village.
